Our Mission

The goals of ECWA are:

  • To help those Syrian and Iraqi refugees making their way to  Australia, in order to offer them a second chance at a decent and  honourable life.

  • To assist these refugees with the process governed by the Department  of Home Affairs, so they can lodge visa  applications, thus facilitating their resettlement in Australia.

  • To offer these refugees the needed assistance and tool in order to  adjust to their new environment with its laws and norms, thus speeding  their integration within the Australian main stream population through a  good command of spoken and written English, a tailoring of their skills  to fit the employment market and higher education;

  • To provide these refugees with the  needed emotional and psychological assistance in order to help them  process any trauma they might have suffered because of the civil unrests  they have witnessed and experienced, and overcome any barrier that may  inhibit their full integration within the Australian society-at-large.
